Vahşi yaşamı koruma örgütü Born Free’nin yöneticisi Will Travers, Şaşkınlık içerisindeyim. Hayvanlar istismar ediliyor, tesis gerekli koşullara sahip değil. Yunusların ölmesinden korkuyorum dedi.

TWO traumatised dolphins are being held in this tiny swimming pool to entertain British tourists in Turkey, The Sun can reveal.

Bottlenoses Misha and Tom were thrown into the 11 by 22-metre pool at a shabby holiday attraction last week in the hope customers would pay to swim with them.

In the harrowing video footage above, the animals can be seen bobbing up and down in the shallow water at the southern mountain resort of Hisaronu. Experts believe the movement is a sign of distress.Wildlife campaigners expressed their horror at the stunt last night. And The Sun is demanding the animals are released and moved to a more suitable home.

Travel firms including Thomas Cook, Thomson and First Choice have already boycotted the park. And a Facebook group calling for the dolphins to be freed has attracted 6,000 members.

The animals arrived at Hisaronu in the back of a refrigerated truck after a hellish four-hour ride from a dolphinarium in Kas on the Mediterranean coast.

Their pool is owned by Russian businessman Aleksandr Kuznetsov and is supported by local mayor Keramettin Yilmaz.

Mr Kuznetsov, who is still awaiting a licence for his venture, said: Hisaronu needs something like this, otherwise tourists only have bars and restaurants.

Some local foreign residents have complained, but the majority of tourists will be excited.

Wildlife charity Born Free last night thanked The Sun for exposing the horror and backed our call to free the dolphins.

Chief executive Will Travers said: I’m appalled, this is animal exploitation. The facility doesn’t meet welfare guidelines. I fear for these two dolphins’ lives.
